I just need some tips.?

So I need some help. Anything will be appreciated. I'm looking to lose a few pounds. Mostly around the waist but I already know you can't exactly pin point where to lose wight. I'm 5'7 and about 140. I'm 15 and a girl. I just need some tips on maybe small things I can do to cut back on calories and maybe burn some. I'm in athletics at my school and that helps and I usually run a mile or so a day. Anything I else I can do? I'm looking to weigh maybe somewhere between 125-130 and hopefully by this summer!
