Is lack of profiency in English language a major hindrance to Malaysian law students ?

that depends on a few factors- what is the main language used in court-English medium or Bahasa? What about the reference materials? What about the written contract? If you intend to practise in Malaysia, i would think being strong in both languages will work to your advantage.
