Why do you hate Hugo Chavez?

Hoest I really don't know much about him besides he has called Bush the Devil. He has offered gas itance to poor areas in the USA aprox a year ago and lastly he has went on little rants about Bush in the past and paranoia like operation balboa etc but what can justify tthe hatred people express? Is he that big of a deal or do people just like to hate? Or did I miss something like he d a white american female?
