Legality of Cover Song Video Help ASAP!!!?

I am a musician and recorded a cover of an already existing song called It's My Life (acoustic) by Bon Jovi. I did it just fun and put it up on youtube and I was approached by someone who wants to use the song in a tribute video for a hospital's cancer walk. My question is because I do not legally own the copyright of the song can the person use it in the video. Thanks
